This is a synopsis of the Bill Quateman Pancreatitis episode on “I Beat the Odds” on the Zliving Channel.
Bill Quateman’s grandfather and father died at 54 from heart disease. Therefore Bill took fairly good care of himself. He ate vegetables, exercises, drink a lot of water, and get his rest.
When he was 55 years old, he felt a lot of pain in his abdomen. He started taking Advil for several weeks. Finally he went to his doctor who gave him and antacid. The antacid didn’t help so the doctor ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a crimp in Bill’s common bile duct causing pain and jaundice.
Bill had the stent operation and they said that it went well. However, 2 days later, he received a call from the hospital. They told him that they had taken pictures and they found a a mass at the head of his pancreas. The concern was that the mass may be cancer which is deadly Pancreatic cancer has a very high death rate within 2 years.
The Gastroenterologist wanted to due exploratory surgery. First, they did some x-rays which showed lesions on his pancreas. Lesions are common on elderly people, but they can also be cancerous. So they did a biopsy which came back negative. Since lesions can be cancerous, the doctor wanted to do exploratory surgery.
They wanted to monitor Bill’s lesion for 3 months and then do another CAT scan. Bill decided to try alternative medicine.
After searching for a holistic doctor, Bill found Dr. Rex Wilson. Dr. Watson tested Bill with a Biofeedback test. Since already had Bill’s tests from ;the Western doctors, he used an Electroacupuncture test on Bill and found inflammation of the liver and pancreas. Unlike lesions, inflammation can be treated with medicine.
Bill wanted a natural method so he chose a classic liver detoxification formula from India. In. To thin the bile and decongest the bile ducts, he drink a powdered concentrated beet juice.
For 3 months, Bill followed Dr. Wilson’s program. Then he went to get a CAT scan. His gastroenterologist said that the CAT scan was clear and that he didn’t know what Bill had, but was blessed.
